Well, I've officially experienced the coldest temperatures of my life. We hit the negatives this week in Alaska. There's no going back now!
Sunday: 2 mile run/walk
Monday: T25 Speed 2.0
Wednesday: T25 core speed
Thursday: T25 core cardio
Friday: Xtend Barre
Due to time restraints I stuck with mostly T25 workouts again this week. The photos below are taken after my workout on Wednesday. Burning 250 calories in 25 minutes is amazing to me! Most of my other workout DVD's burn that much in an hour. You can see how high my heart rate stayed the entire time. I'm going to start rotating in more barre and strength workouts for diversity as the T25 workouts I usually do are mostly bodyweight cardio.
This is my morning view out of our bedroom window. It's so beautiful out! I'm already starting to go stir crazy though. I don't really leave the house Monday-Friday since Travis works all day and I can't justify bringing baby out in such low temperatures unless it's something important. I've been keeping busy with my online test scoring job and the usual housework so at least the days go by fast.
We have a fireplace but haven't used it yet as we don't have a lot of firewood. We have enough for maybe 2-3 fires and are saving it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So, I've busted out the space heater my Mom got me a few years ago. It's so convenient! I was burning my marshmallow fireside candle on top of it so it even smelled like a fire. The ambiance made snuggling on the couch with my baby even more perfect.
This week I received my order from Lush cosmetics. I hadn't tried their products before but had high expectations based on the reviews I read. I picked up a few bath bombs, some dusting powder, and some soap. This is their Golden Wonder bath bomb.
Little man turns 2 months old today and is up to 11 lbs, 5 oz! He's been sleeping through the night since 3-4 weeks, and now sleeps about 9 p.m. to 6-8 a.m. (waking up 1-2x to eat.) Every morning I nurse him in bed before we get up for the day and as soon as I'm done I get the biggest smiles from him. I can't think of a better way to start my day!
Since the HIGH temperature this weekend is -13 I'm not sure what we will be doing. Probably a trip to the grocery store, and we may spend a few hours there just to stay out of the house! We have a lot of craft projects to finish up for Christmas presents, and I think I'll have to bake some sweets and make some soup. This weather just calls for it!
What is the coldest temperature you've been in? What are you up to this weekend?
