Considering my right foot is still black and blue from dropping a chair on it last weekend I'd say this week in workouts was a total success! I'm hoping to get back to somewhat normal mileage next weekend. That whole ultra thing I was talking about doing in two weeks? Yeah .... don't think that's going to happen. I'm not ruling it out entirely but my foot/shin was hurting pretty bad on Wednesday's run so I'm not even sure if I'm going to get any miles in today. I'm getting SO BORED with my current workouts I think I'm going to try the T25 program that Travis got a few months ago. I've also got yoga teacher training starting in less than 2 weeks so that will be a nice change of pace!
I'm hoping now that I'm permanently living in Alabama that I'll get back into a better food prep routine. My diet's been pretty good lately, but there's always room for improvement. I picked up this black bean hummus from Target this week and it is freaking delicious! I love dipping carrots in hummus and the sweetness of the carrots really played well with the spice in this.
Most of my week was spent packing and cleaning. I've got almost all my Christmas shopping done (and wrapped!) Had to make sure Travis's presents were wrapped before I moved them up to Alabama and the little snoop found them out. I rarely wear jewelry but I love bringing out these sparkly earrings during the Holiday season!Yesterday we drove to Fort Walton to have Thanksgiving with my family. While we were there my Mom showed us some photos of my Grandfathers oil paintings. Travis and I fell in love with this one! It's just so bizarre. Mom went all out on the meal. She even made these cute little tabs of butter in the shape of leaves. How Martha Stewart.
To cover all our dietary restrictions we had: Turkey, greek rice casserole, carrot salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, biscuits, salad, and apple pie. I left NOT feeling like I was going to burst from being so full so I'd consider this Thanksgiving a total success.
This weekend is going to be non-stop. We are renting a UHaul Saturday to move the rest of my big stuff up here, and finding out how to combine two households into one is going to be quite the creative challenge! No matter how well prepared and planned my moves are the day itself is always stressful. I'm just looking forward to Sunday night, when I'm hopefully unpacked, cleaned up, and enjoying some ice cream and cuddles on the couch.
How was your Thanksgiving? What are your plans this weekend?
