Tuesday: XTend Barre
Wednesday: 4 mile walk
Friday: Strength Train + Walk
It's official; I've fallen off the exercise bandwagon, hard. It started when we went to Ohio for Christmas and my life has just been all over the place since we got back. I did walk about 3-4 miles each day while I was in Chicago, but I haven't run in almost 2 weeks and I miss strength training! The mix of super cold weather and being out of my routine is just making it difficult to start back up again. My sleep schedule is also way off and I need to get back to waking up before/at 6 a.m. and working out right away!
I also miss being outside. Since I work from home if I don't go outside to run or walk there's a good chance I won't leave the house at all for the day. Thankfully I made my butt get out Wednesday and go for a walk.
Fortunately my diet's been a bit better then it has been now that I'm home and not eating on the road anymore. Last I checked I've gained about 5 lbs in the last month so I'd like to lose those and I'm sure I will once things settle back into a routine.
Earlier this week Travis startled Salem while we were all sleeping and Salem jumped onto my face to get off the bed. He left these lovely parting gifts on my face.
I wore my hair in French braid pigtails for the first time ever and I'm kind of obsessed with them. It only took me about 2 minutes to do (they were extremely sloppy) but it was nice to have my hair out of my face for the day.
All of the cats are getting along much better now. Smokey and Rudy (who belonged to Travis) tend to stick together and Salem stays by my side most of the day.
Finally, I've had the most random craving for Ranch dressing all week so these massive cesar salads have been happening a lot.
I purposely wanted them very plain. Crunchy romaine lettuce, croutons, cheese, some fake chicken, and a good amount of Cesar. I don't think I've had a Cesar salad in years but I am tearing them up this week.
This weekend I'm hoping to make it to Michaels to get some supplies for a few DIY home decor projects I'd like to work on. If they turn out well I'll be sharing them on the blog as I hope to start doing more DIY/tutorial type posts. I was a seller on Etsy for years and I've always loved making things so now that I have the time to do it again I want to explore it as a new topic to write about here. Travis should have a bit of a reprieve in his studying this weekend as he's in between classes so maybe I can convince him to take me out for a hike as well.
What are your weekend plans? What's the last DIY project you completed?
