FITNESSFRIDAY Favorite Packages

Technically I got this cat towel from Natural Life last week but I am so obsessed with it. I love the embroidery, the sentiment, ... just looking at it makes me smile.

I ordered these books off of Amazon a few weeks ago and they finally arrived. I always try to buy used books if possible. These were $4 each including shipping! I've been wanting to read Salt Sugar Fat for years and just stumbled on Mindless Eating while browsing on Amazon. IMG_9168

Favorite Beauty Trends (that I'm years late on)

I'm finally jumping on the dry brushing bandwagon. It's supposed to help with boost your lymphatic system and reduce toxins. It only takes a few minutes so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm also going to start brushing my teeth with activated charcoal after I brush them with regular toothpaste. Supposedly it doesn't taste at all (makes a giant mess though) and makes an amazing natural teeth whitener. We'll see!

Finally, the one I side eyed the most but thought it would be fun to try, I bought an ice roller for my face. Really I got it to help when my TMJ flares up, but I also read people use it to help tighten the skin on your face and neck. I also thought it would feel great to use after I get done working out, and it does feel pretty fantastic.

Favorite Workout

I've been taking baby out almost every day for an hour run/walk. I tried a new route and came across this little stream. It's still snowing here so it's not quite Spring yet, but we are close!

I had another amazing workout on Wednesday. I tried out some new moves for my clients in the carb cycling boot camp next week. I really pushed it and was sore for a good 24 hours after. Not painfully sore, but "damn that was a good workout" sore. I love that feeling! {p.s. sign up to receive info when my next boot camp opens. It will be the first week of May!}

Favorite Photo (and Kitty News)

These two are such great friends. Rudy is so patient with the baby. Rudy will come up to him when he's playing on the ground and rub his head all over him, and just sit there when the baby pulls on his tail. Ever since we got the news that Rudy had early kidney failure I've been hyper vigilant for symptoms he's getting worse.

Earlier this week he didn't seem to be eating as much, was drinking more water, and acting more lethargic. Travis took him to the vet yesterday and they checked his blood, urine and stool. His blood work looked great, and his kidney levels actually improved and were back in normal range! We started him on a special kidney diet so that is clearly working well. They did find a parasite in his poop (which hopefully explains why he's been pooping on the floor multiple times a day lately) and they gave us a pill to get that cleared up.
