Happy Halloween & Foodie Pen Pals

As much as I love Halloween (remember my Halloween Decor Explosion?) it's safe to say I am much more excited to finally show off the amazing goodies I received as part of this month's Foodie Pen Pal swap!

The Lean Green Bean
This was my first month swapping and I was pretty apprehensive to sign up. I always have the worst luck with swaps - people flake out or send items I couldn't use. I honestly don't think it would be possible for me to have a better partner. Jenn who blogs over at The Little Black Rain Cloud clearly did her homework on me. Even better, this package arrived ON my birthday this year (which was full of surprises!)
So right off the bat we have: Tea, peanut butter and popcorn. If that was all she sent I would have considered this a roaring success! In the note she included she said she was worried that it was 'Fall overload' with all the pumpkin themed items - is that even possible? I hadn't had a single thing she sent so it has been so much fun getting to try so many different foods. I've been making toast almost daily and I'll put the PB on one side and Cinnamon apple preserves on the other. Heavenly. The popcorn and cocoa were delicious and the tea is out-of-this-world good. Every single snack she sent has been consumed and loved already and those mini m-n-m's may have found their way onto my favorite low calorie ice cream!
The package I sent out seems to pale in comparison. My recipient has a 3 year old son so I tried to find items he could enjoy that were healthy and still kid approved. I also found the cutest Halloween card to send! My partner said she loved chocolate, nuts and espresso (but hates coffee!) so I was thrilled to find the perfect snack at Target for her.
I had such a blast doing the swap I will definitely be signing up for it again!
Now, you guys already saw my 'costume' this year but I couldn't let Halloween pass without showing off Salem's!
It's supposed to be little devil horns (since he's such a bad kitty most of the time) but he hates it so I couldn't get a good picture. I do have this one from a few years ago when I first got it for him - he is not a happy cat!
While digging through the pictures looking for this one I came across a ton of his brother, Prince, who passed away a few years ago. He was my little darling!
Here are some of my favorites of them together:
They were so adorable together. Salem and I both miss Prince very much still!
On a more positive note - I'm trying to decide on some new fitness goals for myself. I love working out still but need to add some spark back to my routine. Is anyone working on a fitness goal now? I need some inspiration!
