I've already talked about her 30 Day Shred DVD and how that was my first at home workout that spiraled me into the health freak you know and love today. On days that I'm craving a really kick butt strength workout there is nothing better than her Extreme Shed & Shred.
The DVD has 2 levels, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. While this is a strength focused workout many of the moves you do without weights (using your body weight for resistance) which I've always found to be the most effective way to build long lean muscles. Jillian incorporates moves from yoga and Brazilian ju-jitsu to Capoeira and Kickboxing.
This is actually one of the first DVD's I had Matt do with me when we started dating and I think it convinced him that you *can* get a killer workout at home - there were a few moves he had to stop and take a break from while I plowed through like the beast I am ;)
I just completed Level 2 yesterday and I am sore (in the best way possible) this morning. A lot of her moves in Level 2 require you to be in plank position and my shoulders, triceps and core are thanking me for it today!
She mentions that some of the moves in this DVD were done in her Yoga Meltdown workout. That's one of the only Jillian DVD's I haven't purchased yet. If you've tried it please let me know what you think!
