Moving Day, Interviews and Where's Waldo?

Workout Wrap Up

Jan 2

{See Reviews of the DVD's I use here}

I think I've done a  pretty damn good job of keeping up my workouts while moving! The official moving day was yesterday and I started it off with one of the hardest Jillian Michael's DVD's I own. Because clearly I'm insane. I normally run on Thursdays but it was raining so hard in the morning I couldn't and I was so stressed from the move I had to do something. The fitness highlight of my week was definitely the 12 mile run on Sunday! I paid for it with a horrific blister under my big toe on one foot but it was worth every painful step. I also took a picture of it and sent it to my dad. #RunnersBonding

Yesterday was an absolute whirlwind. My Dad and Brother arrived at 8:30 a.m. to help me start moving, and I had an interview via Skype with Fox News in Orlando at 9 a.m. The interview was on the DietBet I'm hosting and how social support and financial motivation can help people lose weight and stick to their resolutions this year. I had to look the best I could without spending a lot of time getting ready so in the interview I look professional but you couldn't see the workout pants I was sporting:

The interview will air during their 5 p.m. (Eastern) news today and you can watch it streaming online as well here: http://www.myfoxorlando.com/ I can't wait to see it but I'm also terribly worried that I'm going to look like a total clown. As for the DietBet, the official game starts on Monday and if you haven't signed up already, now is the perfect time! We have 33 participants signed up already and I have a feeling we'll see a last minute rush to join.

As for the move itself, it went pretty smoothly. I was happy I was able to stick to clean eating during the process (although, I cannot lie, I killed some air popped popcorn drenched in real butter after it was all over). Lunch was my usual pita, cottage cheese and an apple:

Dinner was my favorite Spa Salad from Roly Poly:

The highlight of my day was definitely using the new face products that just arrived from Amazon this week. It will probably be a few weeks before I can tell any big difference but immediately after use my face felt better than it has in months! 2013-01-03 05.35.19

Okay, so I just lied a bit. The highlight of my day was having my family here to help me move. My Dad worked from 8:20 a.m. to 7 p.m. with me to move all of my stuff and get my old place cleaned and I don't know if he realizes how much I appreciate him (and Josh as well, but not as much, because he's a hater). I am truly grateful that my Dad has raised me with this 'get it done' attitude - the House family goes hard.

My goal for today is to finish unpacking and set up as much as I can. I think I can get most of it done because I'm insane and have unrealistic expectations. Either way I have to take a break from moving tomorrow to spend the day doing some last minute prep for the new semester that starts Monday. I'm also planning to go out Saturday and celebrate surviving this week!

Finally, can you spot Waldo?

Don't hate on my Jane Austen book - I'm unapologetic in my obsession with her and read everything I can as a true Austenite does!
