Paging Dr. House

Workout Wrap UpJune 21Workouts this week were pretty average save for running in a total downpour on Tuesday! I made it about 4.5 miles in before the rain started and I must say the fear of ruining your iPhone is a great motivator to pick up your pace.2013-06-18 06.53.25-2Yesterday I came home from my run looking like I was caught in the rain again - but it was just that humid out. Or maybe I just sweat an unusual amount.

It's not just me, right?

2013-06-20 07.28.45 I did take two rest days which is somewhat unusual. I just wasn't feeling it! I woke up Wednesday with zero energy and knew if I even tried to workout it would have been a half-ass effort. So, I ate some healthy junk food and went back to bed for an extra hour before work. It was spectacular.

The days are absolutely flying by now that I'm working from about 8:30 to 7/8 p.m. When I sit down at my desk in the morning I swear I'm there for just a few minutes and then suddenly it's time for lunch. I must say I absolutely love taking time to prepare healthy, tasty lunches and snacks to bring with me as it gives me something to look forward to. Is spending all morning looking forward to your lunch weird?

2013-06-18 08.28.06The other highlight from my day job this week was being able to watch two surgical procedures. I've learned so much over the last few weeks working with the data collected for various studies and  being able to see the 'data' in action was amazing. I was able to watch two different doctors from our office and it's interesting to see how differently each of them perform in the operating room. Getting to know everyone I work with has been so much fun and I really lucked out with having incredible co-workers! June3I am in total disbelief that I'll be in Portland next week for Fitbloggin. I have a list of things I need to get done before I go that seems to be growing rapidly. I'm breaking away from work a bit this weekend to see one of my favorite people ever who's staying at a condo on Perdido Key. After that I'm hoping to get all of my posts done for next week on Sunday, finalize my FitBloggin presentation, get a packing list completed and do the usual food prep/house cleaning.

Just typing all that out makes me feel exhausted. Maybe I'll just spend the entire weekend watching 90's tv shows again. It's a toss up.
