This weekend I tapped into my inner child and had a blast 'playing' my stress away.
Friday afternoon I watched a brilliant Rock Hudson movie while cat sitting and painting my toes an obnoxious bright color. After dinner I hit the park for a while to put some time in with a book I've tried to finish 3 times now! I have a terrible habit of starting into a new book when I'm not finished with the current one and of course I never go back to the original book. #BookADD
For dinner I decided to be proactive for the weekend and do some meal prep to make sure I had quick and healthy meals on hand. I made this delicious Asian inspired meal and had enough for 3x leftovers.
Saturday I hit up the Pensacola Library's used book sale and scored these 5 books for $5. As if I needed more books. I'll have to do a post on my collection at some point. Last I counted I had about 400 but donated 50ish when I downsized to my studio.
I spent Saturday afternoon cranking out this quick cross-stitch. The idea came to me almost immediately after my diagnosis. It makes me smile every time I look at it.
Sunday was filled with more reading at the park.
Then some fun with chalk. I think I'm going to put together a little 'GTFO Stress' kit to keep in my car to have on hand when the mood strikes and I feel like getting outside for a bit. Things like bubbles, coloring books, chalk, play-dough ... you know, the usual shit 29 year old girls like to play with.
Salem was being a particularly bad cat on Sunday (I had to put him in time out for attacking me 5 times!) so I thought that phrase was fitting. I didn't want to have any kids come across the foul language after I left so I scribbled it out!
