If I have to say what my favorite brand of workout clothes is most of you know it would be Puma. I've reviewed different outfits for them a few times over the past year and I've loved them every single time. I usually get a pair of shoes to review as well, and while they are well made shoes and would be great for working out inside, they usually don't cut it for running.
I've been wearing these Puma Ignite shoes on every run, walk, and hike for the last week and will probably wear them until they give out (usually about 400 miles for running shoes.)
About the Ignite:
- ENERGY RETURN: Full length IGNITED foam midsole’s PU blend offers high rebound cushioning
- STEP IN COMFORT: IGNITE foam provides instant comfort where you need it most
- LONG-LASTING PERFORMANCE: Foreverfoam is used in the heel to disperse impact and provide extra durability
It's a pretty lightweight shoe (8 oz.) Not the lightest pair I've run in (that was probably 5-6 oz) but certainly not the heaviest (13 oz.) It has a 13 mm drop (the difference in height from heel to toe, with the heel being higher.) Zero drop shoes are the ones that are totally flat and supposed to mimic your foots natural shape, but very hard to run in as most people prefer high drops as it's easier on the calf/achilles.
When I first put the shoes on it felt awkward running in them the first mile. I was surprised when I really settled into them after a few miles and ended up going on the second longest run of the year. A whopping 8 miles, but I'm not training for anything at the moment! I've been wearing them exclusively since and I really like them.
For the outfit they sent me the Pure Fitted Tee and Essential 3/4 tights. I have two other pairs of the 3/4 tights so I thought I'd love these.
Weirdly, not the case. I got these in a size medium (the other two pairs are a size small) and they were tighter than the smalls! To make sure I wasn't going crazy I pulled out a pair of the smalls and tried them on and they were 10x more comfortable. I've probably washed them under a handful of times (the newer pair of smalls) so I don't think they are just bigger from being worn out.
Aside from the weird fit issue they are identical to the other pairs I have and love. High waist, thick waistband, and a waistband pocket perfect for my house key when I go running. The shirt fit perfectly and is made with CoolCELL so it will hopefully keep me cool during this crazy Summer heat coming up on us.

How do you dress to bet the heat in the Summer?
