Years ago my Dad got me hooked on Chai Spice Lattes. He would make them himself at home and they were unbelievably good. I started making them myself but life got busy and I hadn't had one in years.

Then, I got the opportunity to try the new TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods and I am completely obsessed.

At first I was skeptical that they could recreate the taste of a Chai Latte with a K-Cup®. To make the Chai Latte you start by pouring the sweetened dairy blend in a cup, then just brew the K-Cup® as normal. IMG_2137

The aroma may be even better than the taste! IMG_2142

The end result was just as good as the Chai Lattes I used to spend $5 on in coffee shops. The powdered dairy blend makes it rich and creamy, and the chai spice is perfect. I've tried so many different brands of chai tea and the complex flavor of these K-Cup® pods are vastly superior. If you haven't tried chai before it's a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla flavor. IMG_2170

We have been having some rough nights over here with little man, so having a bit of caffeine has been a saving grace for me. We are attempting to get him in the crib again, and it's made for a very sleepy mama.

I brewed some of this yesterday and seriously stood in the kitchen with my eyes closed and just savored it. I laughed when I thought of how cliche that was. I really just needed a few moments to myself! It took us an hour and a half last night to get him to sleep, so I'm thinking a Chai Latte is in my future today. IMG_2175

If my Dad had a Keurig® I'd definitely be sending him a box of these with his Fathers Day package!
