No more foot pain!! I think the only thing that could make me happier in life is if John Stamos showed up on my front door with zero calorie White Chocolate Peanut Butter. #AGirlCanDreamI'm back on my Pre-marathon workout schedule: Running Tues/Thurs/Sat, Strength training at least once a week, and doing barre at least once a week. I'm also taking selfies while driving to work. I had to pick up some food for that fat cat who lets me live with him and saw the biggest dog I've ever seen in real life at Petsmart. To put it in perspective, the woman that owned the dog was well over 6 feet. By the time ya'll are reading this I'll be in Chicago freezing my ass off. Part of the reason I picked Chicago for my '30th Birthday/I survived Marathon training' trip was because I hadn't seen snow in 10 years. Well, there's no snow on the agenda and the HIGH is 22 degrees on Saturday. I can't fathom how people survive in that weather.
Getting ready for the trip meant doing 5 days worth of work in 3. Saying I was stressed is an understatement. On top of work and getting ready for the trip I'm also trying to find out where I'll be living when my lease is up in ... 3 weeks. One thing that made me feel significantly better was peanut butter pizza.
It sounds ludicrous, but hear me out. Le guy makes them all the time and I finally caved and agreed to try them. English muffin, layer of PB, marinara, cheese, faux pepperoni, and olives. It's hard to even imagine what PB pizza would taste like, but I liked it. Actually ... I really liked it. As in, I wasn't just telling him they were good to be polite. I'd totally make these on my own if I could be trusted with PB in the house. For dessert we had nutella cheesecake bars. After last weeks Snickerdoodles I had to come up with something big to top those. He sent me a few recipes over that he saw on the blog I pulled the Snickerdoodle recipe on and I decided to go with this (which, coincidentally, were his top choice.) I had two after dinner and sent him home with the rest. Ain't nobody need that in the house.
I wish I could adequately explain how much excitement I have about life right now. After so many years of struggling (many of you have been reading since day 1 and know what I've been through!) I'm finally at a place where I'm really, really happy. I love my jobs, I'm traveling more, I'm meeting incredible people, and for the first time in my life I feel like the coming year is going to be incredible.
What are you hoping to get done before this year ends?
