Weekly Workout Wrap-Up

{My reviews of the DVD"s listed above can be found here}

This week has been a total blur. Things have been non-stop since Monday morning but at the same time I feel like I've been wasting the afternoon's away not getting a lot accomplished during my 'work from home' time. My energy level has been really low this week and I think it's residual stress from last week. I'm still not eating as well as I should and I'm sure that's not helping. I was hoping to try out a few new recipes last weekend but I ran out of time so I'm definitely putting that on the top of my to-do list for Sunday!

I've also been a bit concerned about Salem. I noticed that he started losing the hair on his bottom lip on Wednesday. It hasn't been getting any worse and he's still eating and acting fine so I guess I'll just keep an eye on it. Has anyone else seen this in cats? I looked around online and most sites attributed it to either kitty acne or fleas. Both of which he's had issues with! He also has dandruff you can see on his head in the photo - he's such a mess!

I came across some great health/nutrition articles this week:

This years top food trends - I've been on the lookout for those Zucchini chocolate muffins!

The best and worst nut butters

Study claims you can burn 200 calories in under 3 minutes!

Finally, we had some amazing discussions in class this week as we covered the Sexuality and Gender chapter. I showed the first half of this documentary in class and my students flipped. I was honestly in tears watching it because it's that fantastical. You don't even need to watch all of it, just the first minute! http://vimeo.com/19783541 For anyone who has taken General Psychology (or just knows a lot about it!) - what was the craziest thing you learned/talked about in class?

EDIT: I almost forgot that today is the last Friday before Halloween and I've been sharing vintage Halloween pictures of myself on Fridays. This last one is by FAR my favorite. What on earth are my Dad and brother supposed to be?
