Last year I had the opportunity to try out Puma for the first time shortly before I completed my first marathon. I was sent an outfit to review and ended up wearing the shoes to work at the hospital almost every day they were so comfortable. The top I wore the day of the marathon!
As anyone who's run a half or full marathon knows what you wear on race day is a HUGE testament to the quality and comfort of the piece. So, when I had the opportunity to try out some new gear from Puma I was stoked!
I'm not even going to lie - I feel hot in this outfit. Like, sexy John Stamos hot not 'I hate the Florida summer' hot. Most of my workout clothes are pretty standard and this top is definitely 10x trendier than any other I own. It's also going to be my new go-to top this Summer (with lots of sunscreen on my back!) The sports bra is comfortable and form fitting without being suffocating.
The 3/4 tights were a little intimidating at first. They don't go on easy, and I was worried they were going to be way to small, but they ended up feeling incredible. They have athletic tape built into the pants - how genius is that? The first time I wore them out I was going to go for a short and slow run because my legs were aching from a hilly long run a few days prior. My legs actually ended up feeling better after the run thanks to the athletic tape and compression!
Finally, the shoes. Don't they look like something astronauts would wear? They have bubble shaped cushioning pods on the bottom, and fit kind of like ballet slippers. I've been rocking them at the gym and while running errands and they are ridiculously comfortable.
Unsurprisingly, Puma lived up to my expectations with this outfit! I don't know why it took me almost 30 years to try them out but I am so glad I did. Given that I spend 75% of my waking time in workout clothes I hold pretty high standards for finding gear that's comfortable, conducive to my performance, and long-lasting. Puma delivers!
Have you tried Puma before? Are you brand loyal? What would make you try out a brand for the first time?
