Naval Aviation Museum and Farmers Market

I love Saturday’s so much if I could marry them I would.

My parents came into town for the day and we started the morning off walking around the Palafox Farmers Market.

Then we headed over to the National Naval Aviation Museum. If you live in Pensacola (or ever visit) you must visit this museum! It is one of the best I have ever been to and it is 100% free! Whenever I go to a nice museum I always wonder how large families could afford to visit. It just doesn’t seem fair that most places cannot be enjoyed by the entire population!

One of my favorite things about this Museum is that there are a ton of hands-on exhibits and you can actually get inside some of the planes!

They recently added a new wing to the museum that houses Marine One – the famous helicopter that Nixon took his peace sign photo in.

Of course my Father and I had to recreate the iconic image!

The highlight of the museum for my Mom and I is always the retro city street and shops you can actually wander around in!

Mom said we looked like Hussy’s in this one:

We ended our time on base with a trip to the cemetery. Absolutely gorgeous and so humbling.
