Happy Sunday! It’s my favorite day of the week, and I have an epic grocery haul to show off. I’m starting to do a lot more cooking for little man so the amount of produce we go through is steadily increasing.
I’ve never tried siggi’s yogurt before but had some coupons for $1 off so I picked some up to try. I also got rebel tomatoes. Because they are rebel tomatoes.
Meals for the week are pretty standard!
Breakfast: zoats or scrambled eggs w/Toby’s jalapeno dip mixed in (so, so good)
Lunch: chickpea salad or burrito bowl (both from Oh She Glows)
Dinner: Protein smoothie
Snacks: pineapple with cayenne, yogurt, GF crackers and tofu dip and apples
Little man is trying asparagus and strawberries this week. He had a few small pieces of strawberry yesterday and love them. He also had his first muffin, these GF, sugar free, banana muffins. They are super moist and dense, but he seemed to like them!
I received a wonderful surprise from one of my boot camp clients last week, The Vegetable Dishes I Can’t Live Without cookbook. So many of the recipes would be great for baby led weaning. For the last few weeks I’ve basically been giving him fruits and veggies cut appropriately for him to handle, so I’m finally starting to combine things together to form ‘real’ food and meals for him.
Today we are headed out for a Mothers Day picnic! Then I’ll probably take an extra long hot bath tonight, and go to bed early. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate my first Mothers Day.
