September Workout Summary

October 4th, 2012 | Posted by Erica House in Fitness

I know I’m a few days late but I promise I actually met ALL my goals for September before the month ended!

First, here is a recap of August:

August Summary:

Minutes exercised: 1661

Miles walked/hiked/ran: 63.75

September Summary:

Minutes exercised: 2204

Miles walked/hiked/ran: 63.61

I’m pretty shocked at the substantial increase in minutes spent exercising! I know it’s due to the 7 hours of hiking we did as well as a few very long walks. I’m SO happy that I met all of my goals for the month!

Goal 1: 10 mile hike – Done!

Goal 2: 5k in under 35 minutes – Killed it!

Goal 3: 15 push-ups #PROOF!

It’s taken me a few months to finally reach 15 push-ups so I’m ridiculously excited about accomplishing that goal.

Now the fun part – setting October’s goals! We won’t have time to hike this month but we are aiming to do a 12-15 miler in November. We don’t have any shared goals this month so here are our individual ones:

18 push-ps

5k under 33 minutes

7 pull-ups

5k under 30 minutes

1″ loss around waist

Finally, look what Matt got framed!

What are your health/fitness goals for the month?

  • WooHoo!!! Way to reach YOUR health and fitness goals. I have a lot of mini goals this month…almost too many to list. October is a great month to be fit-focused! Wishing you the best!

  • Congrats, Erica! Yay, 15 pushups! That’s so awesome. You mean business with your workout regime. My gosh.

  • Amazing! I don’t think I can even do ONE pushup that doesn’t involve resting on my knees :) This guy at work always asks me to drop and give him a pushup, based on how much time I talk about running and working out with my trainer – and I always have to explain that I don’t do pushups.

    Maybe I should!

Well my original plan was to hit 15 in JULY and clearly it’s taken me longer than I anticipated! I started off last year being able to do 5, maybe. I love doing them now because it’s such a great way to quickly work your biceps, triceps, shoulders and abs!

  • I am so excited for you! You KILLED it! I can’t wait to see how your October goes. As for me, I’m really focusing on my dance and my weight training this month. :)

  • This is a great summary! I’m currently on a 100 day fitness / weight loss challenge and I could really benefit from tracking my results like you have been doing.

I actually kept detailed data of everything I ate/felt/did for 100 days last year to analyze it for trends (the researcher in me coming out). I need to write up a post about that!

  • wow! great workout summary! I do the same – with summary of days where I did some training and when I eat sth sweet, as unfortunately this is my weakness, but in my case still far from goal, but the method really works – you won’t deceive yourself as everything is written down and clear!
