The week I moved in Travis put together this incredible medal hanger and bib holders for us to use. It’s being proudly displayed in his mancave, and this is the first time I’ve actually had something to hang my medals on! I saw various ideas of ways to make one yourself on Pinterest, and after Travis and I talked about what we both wanted it to look like we can up with this super easy design.
We got all of the supplies in town (Lowes and Michaels) but you could easily get similar items off of Amazon. All you need are these three items:
The directions are pretty straight forward. Install the curtain rod wherever you want the medals to hang. I love that the rod is adjustable so that as our collection grows it can accomdate it!
Install two of the wire command strips at the top of the shadow box. Travis spray painted ours black to match but that’s definitely not necessary as you can hardly see them. We left the glass off of ours so we can continually add new bibs to the box. We placed the command strips where the majority of the small bibs would fit on just fine, so some of the bigger bibs we had to cut tiny slits in to fit on there.
Voila! We ordered a copy of one of the photos taken at our first marathon together last month so we designed this knowing that would be our focal point.
