The main reason I read blogs is because I’m endlessly fascinated by other peoples lives. Yeah, it’s nice to learn a thing or two or come across a new recipe, but really, I love the day-to-day life stuff. My life Monday through Friday is usually a blur. I pretty much go non-stop as the work I used to do on the weekends (mostly blog/freelance related) I now try to get done by Friday so I can spend the weekend work-free with Travis.
5:30 a.m. Wake-up. I go to walk out of my bedroom and immediately step on a dead roach with my bare feet. The sound and feel of the crunching traumatizes me for the rest of the day. I had a HUGE to-do list on Monday that I only got about 50% through so I had to get straight to work to make sure my lecture was ready for class later. I prepped for about an hour while enjoying a mug of my favorite tea (Yogi Mint Revitalize.)
8:00 a.m. Breakfast. Udi’s mighty bagel which I’m OBSESSED with and a yogurt cup. I got sucked into looking at wedding dresses online so I spent an hour narrowing down my choices. My friend just bought hers offline and had a great experience with it so I think I may do the same. The wedding is in 5 weeks so I need to get on that!
9:00 a.m. Shower and eat a super early lunch around 10 a.m. before I head out to class. Leftover pasta bake from Sunday.
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Teach back-to-back sections of Human Growth and Development. Today we discussed physical & cognitive grown in middle childhood. One of my students brought in doughnut holes to share so I had a few between classes. Needed the sugar to keep me going! Talking for 3 hours is exhausting.
2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Stopped by Publix on the way home to get some more of those bagels, and had to pick up some Arctic Zero. If I ever make a mid-week grocery stop it’s almost inevitable that I’ll pick up some sort of treat for myself.
3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Came home to find Salem like this.I had another plate of the pasta bake and spent the next two hours creating exams for two of my classes. I fell asleep sitting up a few times. It’s been a long day but at least I have my assistant helping. 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. I call it quits on school work and do some trigger point therapy on my upper back/shoulders. I position the ball between my back and a wall and use it as self-massage. My TMJ has been flaring up bad this week and I’m virtually in constant pain now. No fun. The TP helps so much though!I order an episode of Gilmore Girls to watch while I eat my ice cream. The series is released on Netflix tomorrow but I just couldn’t wait!
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. write this post, reply to comments, and answer a few work emails.
7:30 p.m. Bed. Seriously. Well, a little bit earlier than normal so I can play Oblivion for an hour or so before passing out. Looking back over my day and I ate like total crap. I just have no desire to eat anything but carbs lately. I know it’s a cycle I’m going to have to purposefully stop, but I’ve lost all appetite for veggies. When I realized all my meals were carb-centric I thought about chugging a V8 to prove I’m not a total carb-junkie but that’s not keeping it real. Keeping it real would be me saying there’s a chance I may make some popcorn after I hit ‘schedule’ on this post before I actually fall asleep tonight.
