After a few days in New Orleans we headed home and were followed by some of Matt’s friends who had not been to our fine city before. We only had a few hours to show them around so we spent most of the time at the beach. I always forget what it is like to visit the beach when you don’t live near one. We definitely take it for granted that we are 10 minutes away from one and I’m hoping we will start spending more time there. It can be difficult since it gets so unbearably hot out in the summer but we are planning to go out once a week around 5:30 a.m. to workout. We’ll see how often that happens.
No trip to Pensacola Beach would be complete without seeing a tourist passed out face down in the sand!
We stopped by a souvenir shop to look for a Christmas Ornament (we have started to collect them from every city we’ve been to) and came across these meta-hipster glasses.
On our way out we came across a collection of absolutely ridiculous vanity plates. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better embodiment of Pensacola than in this plate.
Got to love living in the deep south!
